Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner unveiled a list of roads not taken, and some of the notes will make you weep for what might have been.

Christmas just came early for Mad Men fans. Now that the groundbreaking AMC series has come to an end, notoriously spoiler-phobic creator Matthew Weiner is letting it all hang out, including the detailed list of everything he wanted to touch on before the series came to an end. E! Online reports Weiner and the other writers brought the list along with them to a Writer's Guild Q&A Thursday night. Entitled "Wish List: Things We Want to Deal With Before the Series Ends," the single piece of paper holds 15 Mad Men stories that were never told (plus another dozen that were scratched out).

The ones I would have most loved to see? The return of Sal, a check-in with the glorious Dr. Faye and Pete talking to Don about his Dick Whitman past — what an intriguing conversation that last one would have been, all those years after Pete tried to use the information against Don! There are curiosities on the list as well, including Weiner's intent to revisit Pete's friend Ho-Ho, a deep desire to get back to Peggy's relationship with her mother and a possible killer storyline involving another Draper ex, Bobbi Barrett.

Mad Men is fortunate to be one of the few shows on television that has not left fans wondering what might have been. What made it to the screen was about as close to perfect as a show can get. Still, there are a few ideas on the list that spark my imagination. What about yours? Which stories are you sad never made it to the screen?
