Just when you thought Kim Richards' problems couldn't get any worse, Richards just had a judgment weighed against her in a case brought by former friend (someone she long considered like a second mother), Kay Rozario.
Rozario filed a $1 million lawsuit against Richards after she was bitten by Richards' dog, Kingsley. According to Radar Online, the judge gave the ruling when Richards failed to file a response to Rozario's complaint.
"No opposition was filed in connection with the Plaintiff’s application. After considering the materials submitted and the case file, the Court hereby Grants Plaintiff's Application," the judge said.
And while Richards might have lost this one-sided fight, there was some justice in that the court decided the insane amount of damages Rozario was asking for was unreasonable. The judge awarded her only $8,083.53 because "the only ascertainable amount Plaintiff submitted in her declaration was her medical bills which totaled $4083.50."
Rosario said in her complaint that she had become afraid of dogs since the attack, but according to the judge, she did not submit any therapeutic records. When the incident happened way back in March, Richards claims she offered to pay all of Rozario's medical bills but that Rozario seemed to be more interested in finding ways to exploit Richards for monetary gain, according to a statement Richards released following the suit filing.
Richards is currently dealing with the fallout from a run-in with the cops a few weeks ago. She just recently had charges filed against her in the incident for being drunk and disorderly as well as kicking a police officer.
