During a statement to E! News, March's attorney, Deborah Lans, shed some light on the situation, revealing that her client was very upset over the allegations that she had been spreading rumors about her soon-to-be ex-husband.
"Stephanie is terribly upset by what she has been reading in the paper," Lans told the publication.
According to E! News, Flay's rep also released a statement claiming that it is "unfortunate" that the divorce is playing out in the press, and that all of it is "being done in order to renegotiate a prenuptial agreement that was agreed to over a decade ago and never amended during the marriage."
But March's lawyer disagrees with this statement, and has fired back at Flay's lawyer and his friends.
"I would say that what Bobby's lawyer and his friends are saying is a combination of speculation and projection on their part," Lans said. "There are profound issues with the agreement that was signed [three days before their wedding], but we will deal with those in court.
"I'm confident a court will consider the agreement to be unconscionable," she concluded. "Stephanie hopes people will respect her privacy and be sophisticated enough to read through what's coming from the other side."
By the looks of the current state of affairs, this is going to be a very bitter divorce and this is probably not the last you will be hearing about it.
