The actress, known for her witty and confident attitude, is taking her tone to the pages, announced she's writing a collection of essays about her life, including her well-known projects like Twilight and Pitch Perfect, and also the time before she was a well-known actress growing up in Maine.
"I'm excited to publish my first book and because I get uncomfortable when people have high expectations, I'd like to use this opportunity to showcase my ineptitude, pettiness and the frequency with which I embarrass myself," Kendrick joked in a statement from book publisher, Touchstone.
"And while many of my female inspirations who have become authors are incredibly well-educated and accomplished comedy writers, I'm very, very funny on Twitter, according to BuzzFeed and my mom, so I guess I feel like this is a great idea," Kendrick continued. "Quick question: are run-on sentences still frowned upon? Wait, is ending a sentence with a preposition still frowned upon? I mean, upon frowned? Dammit!"
If this is what the whole book will read like, I'm in!
Now hopefully Kendrick will spend the next year using her Twitter wit as a hub to give us sneak peeks of the stories she's planning for the book.
Kendrick will join fellow actresses like Lena Dunham, Hilary Duff, Tina Fey and Mindy Kaling, all of whom have successfully published books.
Kendrick's book is still in development and is scheduled to be released in the fall of 2016.
