Rock has begun documenting every time he is pulled over by cops with selfies and posting them to his WhoSay account.
The three photos were posted within seven weeks and seem to depict the routine reality for black men in our society — being pulled over for no apparent reason. Of course, Rock did not share if he had actually been speeding or breaking the law in some other manner, but his implication is clear. He has spoken out on racial inequality before, most recently to New York Magazine.
Unfortunately, during these incidents, Jerry Seinfeld was not in the car with him, unlike this episode of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. "It would be such a better episode if he pulls me to the side and beats the shit out of me," Rock told Seinfeld. "If you weren't here, I'd be scared. Yeah, I'm famous — still black."
