Is Katie Price joining the cast of TOWIE?

When she's not writing, Claire Gillespie can most often be found wiping snotty noses, picking up Lego, taking photos of her cat or doing headstands.

Pricey and hubby spotted dining with TOWIE cast who couldn't hide their excitement

From SheKnows UK
She's not strictly an Essex girl but she's certainly got the fake tan and feisty attitude to fit in with the TOWIE females. Katie Price could be just what we need to spice up our Sunday night reality TV.

If you're planning to watch The Only Way Is Essex tonight be prepared to see a new face — but a very familiar one. There's a chance that reality TV veteran Katie Price (along with her husband Kieran Hayler) could be making an appearance. And we know this because the TOWIE cast are simply too excited about it to keep it to themselves…

"So excited for @MissKatiePrice and Kieran to be filming tonight with me and @james", tweeted Danielle Armstrong on Wednesday night.

If there's one thing Pricey knows how to do it's reality television. She first dipped her toe in the water in 2002 with the Channel 4 documentary Jordan: The Truth About Me. Jordan: The Model Mum, Jordan: You Don't Even Know Me and Jordan Gets Even followed in 2004. Then came her life-changing stint in the Australian jungle on the 2004 series of I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! This, of course, was where she met Peter Andre and a whole new chapter of reality TV opened up. The couple went on to star in no less than nine reality TV series on ITV2, kicking off with When Jordan Met Peter and chronicling the next several years of their lives with such television hits as Katie & Peter: The Baby Diaries (2007) and Katie & Peter: African Adventures (2008).

The split from Andre didn't stop Price carrying on with her reality TV adventures. (Don't underestimate the Pricey, remember.) What Katie Did Next aired on ITV2 between 2009 and 2011 until she switched to Sky in 2011 for another two instalments of the franchise.

But Price hadn't hung up her reality TV belt just yet. She was a contestant on Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year and, of course, she finished as champion despite having entered the show nine days later than the 14 original housemates.

It would be a massive coup for the TOWIE team to have Price on the show. But whether it's simply a five minute slot as Danielle and James's dinner guests or something meatier is up for debate. We're not convinced she'll be a regular down the Sugar Hut any time soon.
