Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis and the rapper himself both shared their excitement on Twitter but clearly not everybody feels the same:

Someone should tell Kanye that Glastonbury is a music festival and not a Kanye gig with thousands of support acts.— Netto Fabulous (@Nettofabulous) March 17, 2015
If someone doesn't get in the Kanye crowd at Glastonbury, with a "Beyonce was better" sign,we should just cancel the event for ever.— Netto Fabulous (@Nettofabulous) March 17, 2015
So far 3,433 people have signed the "Cancel Kanye West's headline slot and get a rock band" petition, which reads: "Kanye West is an insult to music fans all over the world. We spend hundreds of pounds to attend glasto, and by doing so, expect a certain level of entertainment. Kanye has been very outspoken on his views on music… he should listen to his own advice and pass his headline slot on to someone deserving! Lets prevent this musical injustice now!"
Somehow we don't think any petition will prevent this from happening. Brace yourselves for the June 2015 leg of the Kanye West/Kim Kardashian world takeover. Wonder if she'll wear wellies?
