Below are some of the reasons why Bobbi Kristina's family may be unhappy about Gordon appearing on the Dr. Phil Show.
Bobbi Kristina's family has made it quite obvious that Gordon is not their favorite person right now and they believe that he had something to do with her accident, a sentiment Bobbi Kristina's aunt, Leolah Brown, recently shared via an open letter to Dr. Phil on Facebook.
"With all due respect, Nick Gordon is under investigation for the attempted murder of my niece Bobby Kristina Brown," Leolah began. "We have strong evidence of foul play. Until this investigation is completed by law enforcement, I would ask that you or anyone else not provide this individual a platform to spin this situation to his benefit.
"If Nick Gordon does not have the courage to speak with my brother Bobby Brown and/or law enforcement about what happened the day my niece's body was found in a bathtub, he does not deserve to have a platform to speak to anyone of your caliber until this investigation is concluded."
Bobbi Kristina's situation is dire, and although little information about her condition has been revealed, she has remained in the hospital since being found facedown in a tub on Jan. 31. Even though Gordon might be battling his own personal demons, and the sit-down with Dr. Phil is believed to have been an intervention, it's not surprising that the Brown family would frown at anyone going public during this sad time.
We cannot imagine what Gordon is going through right now, and we don't pretend to. But the 30-second promo video does him no justice because it focuses on him saying how much he hates Bobby Brown (who is no doubt also in pain about what has happened to his daughter), when his focus should be solely on Bobbi Kristina.
According to TMZ, Gordon has refused to be interviewed by cops and has not spoken to the Brown family about what happened to Bobbi Kristina. The Brown family surely wants Gordon to be giving information that could benefit them and help determine what took place in the moments leading up to Bobbi Kristina's tragic accident, rather than speak on a reality TV show.
There are conflicting reports about what exactly is happening between Gordon and the Brown family, but Gordon claims that the family has barred him from visiting Bobbi Kristina in Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. According to E! News, the Brown family claims that he has "declined" to visit her and is "not as desperate to visit Bobbi Kristina as he wants the world to believe."
If these reports are true, then it's no wonder the family does not want him appearing on the Dr. Phil Show talking about how much he misses his girlfriend and the late Whitney Houston when he has not even visited her in the hospital.
