Ryan Reynolds gets candid about being a first-time dad: It isn't all fun and games

It will never get old hearing Hollywood heartthrobs gush about their new babies.

Ryan Reynolds and wife, actress Blake Lively, are just like the rest of us parents with young babies and toddlers… sleep-deprived.

The superstar couple welcomed their first child just nine short weeks ago, and during an interview with The Tonight Show, Reynolds revealed that at just over a month old, he knows his daughter is allergic to one major thing: sleep.

"Our baby, in particular is, we think, allergic to sleep," he said. "We think that she thinks that she's protecting us from the sleep monsters. She's like, 'Oh gotta keep them up or the sleep monsters will get them.'"

So cute, and we feel your pain, Ryan.

And like every new parent, you find the tricks that work for your new little one. Reynolds has discovered a trick, but we're not sure if it's for him or his baby.

"The trick I try to use is that Baby Einstein stuff, but for me that's like horse tranquilizer. I could fall asleep on a lit stove."

Fallon, who welcomed a new baby not too long ago as well, aptly and appropriately quipped, "Yeah, babies don't care about you."

These two are hilarious. Check out the interview here:
