According to E! News, who was first to break the story, Manganiello proposed to Vergara on Christmas Day. A source told Us magazine that Manganiello wanted to pop the question at a time when her family could be there. 'Tis the season!
And the True Blood hunk reportedly didn't slack. Us referred to the ring as "massive," though the couple has yet to publicly announce their engagement. The two have been sharing images since Christmas, but Vergara's left hand isn't visible in any of them yet.
The two have been celebrating the holidays in Hawaii, along with Manganiello's birthday, which is Dec. 28. Vergara gave her now-fiancé a shout-out on Instagram, calling the actor her "love and best friend."
Though they've only been together for a short time, their well-documented romance means this engagement doesn't come as a surprise to many. The couple seems inseparable and even spent Thanksgiving with Vergara's family.
In fact, before they even began dating, Manganiello described Vergara as his celebrity crush in an issue of People magazine. The actor was clearly smitten before the two began their whirlwind romance.
Vergara, on the other hand, was previously engaged to Nick Loeb, whom she dated on and off since 2010. The Modern Family beauty and her ex called off the engagement over the summer and Vergara began dating Manganiello just two months later in July.
Congrats to the happy couple!
