Well, that's exactly what Parke recently did to achieve his dreams of looking like Kim Kardashian. And we think the reason he is getting so much attention is not because of the crazy amount of money he spent — though it was pretty crazy, over $150,000 dollars — but because he's a man.
Parke is a makeup artist in Manchester and, according to the Sun, who spoke with him, he is obsessed with Kardashian.
"My look is all about the shock factor," Parke explained. "I love all the attention and stares I get in the street. I welcome the hate — it just means more attention. And if anything, it just spurs me to get more work done."
The Sun reported that, in order to resemble Kardashian, Parke has undergone more than 50 cosmetic procedures, including Botox, lip and cheek fillers, eyebrow tattoos and laser hair removal. Women have these procedures every day, and in extreme doses like Parke, and no one bats an eye. So, what makes Parke different? Is it that we're really not as accepting as we'd like to think?
"I laugh when people try to insult me by telling me I look plastic or fake," Parke said. "Do they think I'm going for the natural look? If I was, I'd ask for my money back."
The moral of the story: To each their own.
It isn't for us to "get it" if Parke is ultimately happy with himself. And if he is truly happy with his look, then there isn't anything else to get.
