Speaking with E! News, Bass revealed that Justin Timberlake will be left out of the equation for the big day, but we'll still see JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick and Joey Fatone in attendance when he puts a ring on his fiancé, Michael Turchin. "Of course the boys are going to be there, unfortunately Justin's not going to be able to go because that's his last date on tour and I had no idea he'd be touring right next to Christmas. He'll be the only guy not able to make it that day," Bass explained. "I couldn't imagine getting married without those boys being right there!"
E! will be on site to capture all the magic that goes down during a 90-minute special airing Feb. 5 at 8 p.m. called Lance Loves Michael: The Lance Bass Wedding. Not only is it a monumental move for Bass, but also for the gay community. Bass and Turchin's special will mark the very first time an American television network broadcasts a celebrity wedding between two men.
It's something the TV personality completely understands and he is excited to share his big day with the rest of the world. "It's spectacular that people care that much, one just about our wedding, it's so special that people care. But two, that people are so excited about a gay wedding," he said. "To know that people are excited to see something like this go down just shows you how much things have changed and we're just honored to be a part of that change."
Their wedding comes just over a year since Bass proposed to Turchin in New Orleans in September 2013.
