There are many ways to express a story; one of them is through song.
Jackie Chan has revealed he is writing a script for a musical adaptation of his 1998 memoir, I Am Jackie Chan: My Life in Action.
The production will allegedly cover the lives of his parents, his early education at the Peking Opera School, acrobatic pursuits and his ascent to mega-stardom.
"We are looking for a director for the musical right now. It's all very exciting," Chan stated at a conference in Hong Kong.
The 59-year-old Rush Hour actor worked hard to distinguish himself from his predecessor, Bruce Lee, by employing different movement techniques and making his characters more accessible to the general public. In recent years, Chan has tried to take on more emotionally taxing and vibrant roles to show his talent as an actor and not just as a martial artist good guy.
