The Toronto-based electronic music band did well this year. Martina Sorbara took a risk here, and it paid off. She also managed to display this season's hottest trends: crop tops and leather. Though this look is not for everyone, her slender figure and deeper skin tone definitely helped pull it off. Shout-out to the boys: Dan Hurtz (left) chose to go with a patterned satin blazer and kept the rest of his outfit relatively neutral. Well put. Joel Stouffer (right) went with a casual look, rocking a simple button-down and biker-esque leather blazer with jeans.
The fellas not only picked up a JUNO for Group of the Year but also looked darn fine while at it. The lead, Josh Ramsay (left), wore a stunning black suit with an accented lapel, studded oxfords and a white satin tie; he stuck to a black theme with minor detailing for personality. It was style at its best — subtle but incredibly impressive. Ian Casselman (right) deserves some attention for going with a fitted plum blazer and an adorable bow tie. Matt Webb's (second from left) patterned tie and white pants earned our praise, as did Mike Ayley's (second from right) white running shoes setting off a cadet-grey suit. The boys of Marianas Trench were all about key pieces against neutral staples — colour us in love.
One of the few instances when yellow genuinely compliments the wearer. The contrast of Jepsen's skin tone and dark hair made the colour of the dress pop. The bob-like neckline embellishment was all the singer really needed in terms of accessories. As you can tell, she went minimal on makeup and jewellery, opting for a simple clutch and keeping the heels light. The attention was meant to be on the dress (the fit was fantastic!) and on Carly Rae, of course. No wonder she picked up three JUNOs...
This was not the band's first red carpet experience; these guys have it down. Usually we'd start with the leading lady, but James Shaw (left) really stole the show this time. The untucked shirt and loosened skinny tie under a well-fitted suit jacket were just plain beautiful. Plop a wide-brimmed hat and some facial hair, and bam! Lethal weapon of a look. Fear not! The gorgeous Emily Haines did not go unnoticed. The singer looked amazing in her leather shorts, and that risqué blazer with gold detailing was out of this world. The woman looked downright sexy. The other fellas of the band, Joshua Winstead and Joules Scott-Key, kept it dark and mysterious without ignoring the fits of their suits. As usual, spot on.
Let's be honest: When you look at this couple, your eyes naturally gravitate to Luisana. The Italian beauty glowed (she is pregnant, after all!) and was beyond stunning in that red lace gown. The fit of the dress was perfect, and Lopilato went minimal on accessories, echoing the shade of the dress with her lipstick. Bublé is the king of suits, so we were not surprised by how wonderful he looked. He went with a slick, well-fitted black suit and a bow tie. Patent dress shoes always get extra points in our books — always. Best-dressed couple, hands down.
