During a recent interview with Nick Grimshaw's BBC 1 radio program, the The Hunger Games star (who was joined in the interview by cast members Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson) revealed she has no intention of ever becoming social media savvy and sharing even more of her personal life with us because of one very valid reason: the internet has been very unkind to her.
By now, everyone has heard of the celeb nude photo hack, and Lawrence's racy pictures were a part of that hack, so it comes as no surprise that she would not want anything to do with the internet now; that, and the fact that she's apparently rubbish with technology.
"I will never get Twitter," she confessed after listening to a fan's question about why she doesn't have an account on the social networking site. "I'm not very good on the phone or technology. I cannot really keep up with emails, so the idea of Twitter is so unthinkable to me."
"I don't really understand what it is," she continued. "It's like this weird enigma that people talk about. It's fine, I respect that, but no, I'll never get a Twitter. If you ever see a Facebook, Instagram or Twitter that says it's me, it most certainly is not."
Elaborating on her serious answer and her decision to stay away from social media, Lawrence joked, "I really like laser-focused [on that answer]... it's because the internet has scorned me so much that I feel like it's that girl in high school that I'm like, 'Oh, you want to talk about her? Yeah, I'll do that!' Take my hoops off, I'm ready to go."
We don't blame you, JLaw! Although, it would be nice to read some of her tweets — we're sure they'd be a hoot!
However, the interview was not all about how the internet has scorned Lawrence. She, Hemsworth and Hutcherson had some very interesting and hilarious things to say about The Hunger Games franchise and the latest installment in the hit film.
