Kacey Musgraves proved underwear can accidentally fall off at the CMAs

There were a lot of exciting moments during the 2014 Country Music Awards in Nashville on Wednesday, Nov. 5. And Kacey Musgraves' performance with country legend Loretta Lynn was especially exciting — even though she did it without any panties on.

Musgraves revealed on Jimmy Kimmel Live! after Wednesday night's CMA event had concluded that when she took to the stage to perform "You're Looking at Country" with Loretta Lynn, she did so without any underwear on.

"I had to rip them off and throw them to the side," she candidly explained. "They're somewhere around here, so in case you see them, they're mine." Let's hope no perv goes looking.

Despite the wardrobe malfunction, Musgraves did a great job performing without any underwear and luckily for her, no one actually saw any of her private bits. Which is surprising because it must have been particularly hard not to flash anyone while wearing that gorgeous, albeit very short, sequined Oscar de la Renta gown.

Speaking of her dress, Musgraves explained to People magazine how she chose her look for the evening.

"The dress is Oscar de la Renta, classic choice, can't go wrong. I'm such a fan of the '60s – hair and makeup, aesthetically, all of that. And I'm from Texas, totally big hair. I might as well be waving the Texas flag," she explained.
