The talk show host is now the proud owner of GIFFT Wines, which is a collaboration between Gifford and Scheid Family Wines in Monterey, California. The name was inspired by her own last name and the idea that friendship, love and laughter are an important part of life.
The TV personality signed her bottles in New Hampshire this weekend. The labels on the bottle feature her Connecticut garden gazebo and, of course, an easy-access screw-top closure.
Gifford told local TV station, WMUR, "I remember so fondly visiting New Hampshire as a child on vacation with my family. I'm excited to return to such a beautiful place, bearing with me delicious GIFFTs from sunny California. I'm delighted to meet some nice wine-loving people in such a lovely environment."
The New Hampshire Liquor Commission chairman, Joseph W. Mollica, also seemed pretty thrilled Gifford was drinking her way through his state.
He said, "We are also fortunate that unlike anywhere else in the country, some of the biggest names in the wine world flock to New Hampshire to interact directly with our consumers. We are delighted that Kathie Lee Gifford will share her love for wine and newest creation with our customers."
She had a blast in New Hampshire over the weekend, meeting fans and spreading the word about her new venture.
One viewer even got so excited when he found her wines at a local liquor store, he just had to share his haul with the host.
Gifford's new wines include a red blend and a chardonnay.
