On Sept. 12, the Shameless actress surrounded herself with a close group of friends and her mom Cheryl to enjoy a seven-course dinner, which she was kind enough to share an Instagram snap of.
The brunette beauty captioned the pic, "7 course dinner and cake = happiness!!" And it's evident that Rossum really likes cake.
During a recent interview with People magazine at the Rape Foundation's annual brunch in Beverly Hills, California, the The Phantom of the Opera actress dished the deets on her birthday celebrations, saying, "I ate too much. There were seven cakes. Seven cakes over the weekend. But that's what birthdays are supposed to be!"
Luckily for Rossum, she has a killer figure and can afford to indulge in sugary snacks!
But aside from the seven cakes that she snacked on during her birthday weekend, the actress also celebrated her birthday with a cultural experience — at the opera.
"We went to the opera and saw [La] Traviata. And then we had a dinner party at my house. It was nine girls and my boyfriend," Rossum said of her director beau Sam Esmail. "Poor thing, or lucky him."
But next year, expect a different kind of birthday from Rossum because she hates getting older.
"I hate aging," she confessed to the mag. "I'm going to start celebrating the anniversary of my 21st birthday from now on!"
