Ellen Pompeo, who stars as the title character Meredith Grey in the medical drama Grey's Anatomy, took to Instagram on Thursday, Sept. 18, to share an awesome snap of the cast channeling their inner inmates. (We're guessing that they are all fans.)
The pic shows the cast doing their best impressions of the OITNB characters (with Pompeo sporting cornrows like OITNB character Tricia Miller and Sara Ramirez doing a very good impression of Alex Vause), but instead of the regular Litchfield Correctional Facility orange jumpsuits, the cast is sporting their Seattle Grace blue scrubs.
"Blue is the new black #8daystillgreys #greysanatomy," Pompeo captioned the pic.
The snap is rather hilarious and was done to promote the new season of Grey's, which is about to air Season 11. It's certainly got us excited for the new season, which may be Pompeo's last acting role, ever.
During a recent panel she said, "I definitely don't have a strong desire to act after Grey's. I definitely feel myself transitioning. I don't find acting terribly empowering. For the place I am in my life, I think my age, once I hit 40, I feel differently. I don't necessarily want to work for other people."
Let's hope she makes it to a Season 12. Grey's Anatomy returns to ABC for its 11th season on Thursday, Sept. 25 at 9/8c. Get ready.
