Kate Hudson knows the importance of healthy eating and wants girls to love themselves

Kate Hudson has put an end to the constant speculation about her weight and the eating disorder rumors as she explains the reasons why she would never have one.

In an interview with Red, the Bride Wars actress told the magazine, "If there is one thing I will never have, it is an eating disorder. I won't have girls — even if it is just one or two who care — thinking that. Because it is a serious sickness, not something to plaster on the cover of a magazine. And I am the opposite."

Hudson, who graces the cover of the magazine's October 2014 issue, went on to explain that she wants to send a positive message to women everywhere to love themselves and their bodies.

"I want girls to love themselves. I want them to feel good about who they are…The thing is, I'm lucky because I was loved. But I have seen so many young women who can't feel good about themselves because they just don't have… that love."

The Wish I Was Here star also opened up about her romantic life and her relationship with Muse frontman Matt Bellamy — the father of her son Bingham — and whether or not we'll ever see the pair walk down the aisle.

"I'm not in a rush. We are basically married. It's really about when are we going to take the time to plan a wedding," she confessed to the mag.

"[I'm not wearing my engagement ring] because it can be… a little much. I like to wear my push gift [another ring] for pushing out Bing."

And to think, Hudson once thought she'd never date a musician again after her split from ex-husband and The Black Crowes singer Chris Robinson.

"That [rock 'n' roll] world is difficult. But it is what it is, right? I like people with musicality… I find it attractive," Hudson said.
