Notoriously private Christian Bale and family quietly expand their brood

Christian Bale and his wife, Sibi Bale, have officially welcomed their second child into the world and they managed to do it without anyone finding out.

E! News confirmed that the duo is indeed parents again. No details are available about when and where the baby was born, but People magazine says a source told them the child is a boy. Over the past weekend, photos of Sibi in Los Angeles surfaced and she looks great as she is adjusting to life post-pregnancy again.

News of their expanding family broke at the 2014 Oscars when Sibi, who is a former model, makeup artist and one-time assistant to actress Winona Ryder, showed up on the red carpet sporting a baby bump. The couple has been married for 14 years and also has a 9-year-old daughter.

The Dark Knight actor has never publicly confirmed his first daughter's name, nor did he comment on his wife's second pregnancy, but it's no secret that he is proud of his family. "It's all about my girls, my wife and my daughter," he told People magazine in 2009.

Christian also showed that he had a soft spot for children in September 2012, when he spent the day with 4-year-old cancer patient and Batman super-fan, Jayden Barber. After learning that Jayden had suffered from bone cancer for two years and had undergone unsuccessful rounds of chemotherapy, the actor flew the boy and his mother, Charlene Barber, out from Ohio to spend the day with them at Disneyland. "Christian sent us to LA and we had lunch at Disney Club 33 on Wednesday," Charlene shared on Facebook around the time of their trip. "He and his family were so awesome and down to earth!!!"

The Bales join a growing trend of celebs who are daring to keep their private lives, well, private. Actress Sophia Bush managed to keep her breakup with tech boyfriend, Dan Fredinburg, a secret for nearly six months, and Rita Ora similarly kept her split with DJ Calvin Harris quiet for quite a while.
