Gloria Estefan is bringing her life story to the Broadway stage

Get ready for some Latin rhythm on Broadway, as Gloria and Emilio Estefan bring a new show to Broadway. The Miami-based couple is going to mount a new musical, On Your Feet!, on the Great White Way beginning Oct. 5, 2015.

The story will follow Gloria's rise to the top of the music charts, utilizing her catalog of song hits as a solo artist and with her former group, Miami Sound Machine. Fans can expect to hear songs like "Rhythm Is Gonna Get You," "Mi Tierra" and "Conga." She is also expected to write new music for the show.

The show has a huge crew of talent behind the scenes, including two-time Tony Award winner, director Jerry Mitchell, and choreographer of Jersey Boys, Sergio Trujillo.

According to Billboard magazine, producers are taking the casting of the lead role in a new direction. An international search has begun for the right woman to play Gloria. The hashtag #ReachGloria is already hitting social media sites and performers can submit an audition video to the production's website. They aren't just restricting the auditions for the star, though, dancers and chorus members can also get into the mix.

There will also be two open casting sessions this fall. An audition will be held on Sept. 9 in New York City and another audition will be held on Sept. 21 in Miami.
