VIDEO: TLC starts a boob war with Rihanna

Rihanna's perfect response

T-Boz and Chilli of TLC says today's pop stars should keep their clothes on — but Rihanna reminds them of their own bare past.

TLC spent most of the '90s chasing waterfalls in midriff-baring crop tops, but they did leave their unmentionables covered — at least most of the time. Now the two remaining members of the group are taking a swipe at today's pop stars who think they need to bare it all to be successful — specifically Rihanna, who appeared at the CFDA Awards wearing pretty much nothing but some body glitter smeared on fishnet.

"Every time I see you, you don't have to be naked," T-Boz said on Australian morning show Channel 7′s Sunrise. "It's hard for us to say anything because any time we do, they say, 'Oh TLC, they must be jealous...' I call a spade a spade."

"We became the biggest girl selling group of all time with our clothes on and that says a lot," Chilli added, and T-Boz said, "We could go around with booby cakes out all day long."

Rihanna responded to the insult by immediately calling the women out on their hypocrisy and changing the header photo on her Twitter account to one of them baring their own breasts, then posted a couple of photos on her main feed that illustrate exactly how she feels about the criticism.

Sometimes a picture's worth a thousand boobs.
