Haylie Duff talks love: Her engagement and Hilary's divorce

Sara McGinnis is a slightly mossy Northwest gal living in an otherwise all-male household. She contributes to both the BabyCenter Blog and SheKnows Entertainment, and is a fan of Twitter and Facebook friends. When not tethered to wifi...

Duff's engagement is "not even normal"

Haylie Duff may soon be losing a brother-in-law due to sister Hilary's pending divorce, but according to the engaged star, life is grand all around.

Haylie Duff has nothing but positive words to share about her sister Hilary and her soon-to-be-ex-husband Mike Comrie. Though you might assume things could be a bit awkward at family gatherings since the pair announced their split, the big sis insists all is quite well.

"You know, it's funny. It's like, it's not that weird. I think maybe we all think it's a lot weirder than it really is. But we love Mike, and he's still so much a part of our family," the food blogger is quoted as telling reporters about her sister's evolving relationship.

"And I might see Mike actually more than I see Hilary, which is weird. But yeah, I think they're doing great," the elder of the adorable Duff sisters continued. "And they're just taking their time. And they're young — so they're not, like, putting stress to figure out which way it's going to go."

Opening up about her own engagement to business owner Matt Rosenberg, the bride-to-be shared, "I mean, it, like, still shocks me. It's not even normal. I still call him my boyfriend, and he, every once in a while, is like, 'Babe, I'm your fiancé.' I'm like, 'Okay, okay, I got it.'"

"His dad actually [designed the engagement ring] with him, which is so sweet," she went on to gush. "He, like, sent over drawings to some of my girlfriends and my sister."

Haylie Duff added that while she has yet to get any words of marriage advice from Hilary, her 26-year-old sister with the summer-ready hair is all kinds of excited to plan a bachelorette party.

How would you feel if your sister talked publicly about your love life?
