The notorious red carpet prankster has struck again, this time at the Hollywood premiere for the movie Maleficent, and his latest victim is none other than Oscar-winning actor Brad Pitt.
Pitt was showing support for his wife Angelina Jolie and their 5-year-old daughter Vivienne — who both star in the forthcoming film — during its premiere at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood, California, on Wednesday, when a man jumped over the barrier in the fan area and rushed at him.
The man in question is repeat red carpet offender Vitalii Sediuk, who managed to briefly get his hands on the World War Z actor before security whisked him away — but not before he landed face-down over a security barrier. However, throughout the incident Pitt remained composed.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, an LAPD spokesperson told them, "At around 7.30 p.m., Brad Pitt was at the El Capitan Theatre on the red carpet when a male jumped over the barricade and made contact with him."
Sediuk has been taken into police custody and booked on suspicion of misdemeanor battery, the site reports. Witnesses claim the 25-year-old man was reportedly either trying to punch or slap Pitt in the face, but luckily he did not get away with it.
The Ukranian prankster is really starting to make a name for himself and has already tangled with several celebs during their red carpet appearances. He has grabbed Bradley Cooper's crotch at the SAG awards, hid under America Ferrera's dress at the How to Train Your Dragon 2 premiere in Cannes and perhaps most famously stormed Adele's Grammy acceptance speech.
