While Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's lavish Italian wedding ceremony may have stolen all the headlines this past weekend, the loved-up pair were not the only celebrity couple to tie the knot over the weekend. Yes, it was a weekend filled with love for House alum Lisa Edelstein, too!
Edelstein and her artist beau Robert Russell exchanged vows in Los Angeles, California, on Sunday, May 25, a source has confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter.
So, aside from being newly married, what else is Edelstein getting up to these days?
The 48-year-old beauty may be best known for her role as Dr. Lisa Cuddy on the medical drama House, but she is no stranger to TV shows and has also been cast in guest roles on other popular series, including Scandal, House of Lies, Castle and The Good Wife.
However, Edelstein's new project is set to be even more exciting. Why? Well, she's been working on Bravo's first scripted series, Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce, which is based on the books by Vicki Iovine.
The one-hour dramedy that will be produced by Marti Noxon has received a 13-episode order in February and is set to debut in 2015. Edelstein will star as Abby McCarthy, a character who is a best-selling self-help author who is struggling with her separation from her husband and experiencing what it's like to be newly single in her 40s.
Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce will also star Beau Garrett, Janeane Garofalo and Paul Adelstein. But for now, a big congratulations is in order for the happy couple, and we wish Edelstein and Russell all the best in their marriage together.
