Twins' opinions get their show canned

A new home improvement show on HGTV was canceled before it even aired due to the opinions and views of its twin brother hosts.

HGTV pulled the plug on a new series that hasn't even hit the airwaves yet because it apparently doesn't agree with the show's hosts' views and opinions on controversial social issues.

Conservative twin brothers, David and Jason Benham, were told by the network that their new reality show, Flip It Forward, won't air in the fall as scheduled. At the time, HGTV didn't give the siblings a reason for the cancelation, but reports have surfaced it was due to their beliefs and opinions on homosexuality and abortion.

HGTV's move came after a report titled "HGTV Picks Anti-Gay, Anti-Choice Extremist For New Reality TV Show", hit the Internet which concludes that the brothers hate gays. However, the faithful brothers have spoken out about the decision claiming that although they are religious and hold their own views, they do not hate homosexuals, nor do they discriminate against them.

"If our faith costs us a television show, so be it," David and Jason said in a joint statement. "Our faith is the fundamental calling in our lives, and the centerpiece of who we are. As Christians we are called to love our fellow man. Anyone who suggests that we hate homosexuals or people of other faiths is either misinformed or lying."

The Benhams, who used to be professional baseball players, were hoping to use their home improvement business and new show to help families buy a home and transform it into their dream house.

"Over the decades, we've sold thousands of homes with the guiding principle of producing value and breathing life into each family that has crossed our path," the twins added. "And we do not, nor will we ever discriminate against people who do not share our views."

Meanwhile, David and Jason feel like they themselves been discriminated against by being shunned from HGTV for having opinions of their own. They don't agree the network should reject their series because it doesn't share their personal views or opinions, which goes against their freedom of speech.

No official word has been released by HGTV as of yet stating why they canceled Flip It Forward.
