Dame Helen Mirren sounds like she'd be a good party partner for Prince Harry. The award-winning British actress says she loves to twerk and secretly practices at home to get her form right.
Mirren first demonstrated her booty-shaking skills onstage while accepting the Hasty Pudding Theatricals Woman of the Year award at Harvard University in January 2014, and confirmed in a new interview that it was not an act: she likes to move it, move it.
"I'm a huge fan of Beyoncé and I do love to twerk," she told the Mirror. "I am mesmerized by it. It's unbelievable how they do it. I always like it when a new dance arrives on the scene."
When asked if she ever practices at home in front of the mirror, she admitted, "I actually might have done that!"
The famed actress also recently said that teens shouldn't be allowed to read Shakespeare until they are at least 15 years old, because forbidden fruit is the most tempting.
"I absolutely believe that children's first experience of Shakespeare should always be in the theater with a performance as I had the opportunity of doing… to see a great imaginative acting and direction, costumes and lights," she told BBC Newsnight.
"I do believe children should not be allowed to read Shakespeare until they are 15 years old. Taken to see a play when they are 13 [or] 14 and told you can't read it until you are 16 and of course you would be dying to read… secretly in your bedroom!"
Until then, they can twerk.
