It's finally happening! All the stars have assembled on the set of The Avengers: Age of Ultron, and now there is proof. Some of the actors, including Robert Downey, Jr. and Mark Ruffalo, have been tweeting photos. Marvel even joined in on the fun.
The cast has been on the set filming the Avengers sequel since early April, but according to Entertainment Weekly, all six major characters — Mark Ruffalo, Robert Downey, Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth — were on the set today, April 23, for the first time. Ruffalo tweeted the exciting news.
Today was the first day of shooting "Age Of Ultron" when all of the Avengers we reassembled! Awesome sight! @Marvel— Mark Ruffalo (@MarkRuffalo) April 23, 2014
Downey, Jr., who plays Iron Man, tweeted a photo of the exciting news showing the cast had assembled back on the set.
Ruffalo also tweeted photos of some of the cast members.
From Ruffalo's photo, it looks like Black Widow is keeping her red hair for the next film.
Iron Man also made sure to give the fans what they wanted, and continued to tweet throughout the day. From the look of the photo, there was some action happening on the set.
Early in the morning, Ruffalo obviously couldn't contain his excitement over being on the set with his friends, and responded to a response from Marvel (although it appears Marvel originally responded to Ruffalo, there is no sign the original tweet actually ever existed).
I'm sorry @marvel. I will be better. I'm like your black sheep Avenger.— Mark Ruffalo (@MarkRuffalo) April 23, 2014
The Avengers: Age of Ultron will be in theaters May 1, 2015.
