The film stars Rogen as a brand-new dad, who, along with his wife (played by Rose Byrne) and their newborn, move into a house next door to a frat house. Although the characters are at odds, the stars definitely aren't. In fact, it seems like Rogen wanted to get a little too close to Efron during filming.
"The first time I saw him without his shirt on, my first instinct was there was something wrong with him, honestly, because he has so many bumps sticking out of his body. My body is like one big bump," the Knocked Up star told Conan O'Brien while joining his show, Conan, to talk about the new film.
Rogen, always the jokester, added that Efron would work out between takes, and even teased that the content of the film changed because he was caught off guard by Efron's impressive body.
"We had to keep writing into the scenes that I touched his body," he added. "I would look at it and want to just reach out and touch it."
In real life, Rogen is only five years older than Efron, but the film does what it can to show how different the two stars are. The promos say it all — featuring both actors without their shirts.
You can watch Efron and Rogen in all their shirtless glory when Neighbors hits theaters May 9.
