Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen are leaving La La Land for cooler climes. The celebrity couple just put their Los Angeles mansion on the market and are moving to Boston, where Brady plays for the New England Patriots.
The couple just completed the 14,000-square-foot home in 2009 for a cool $40 million and they are looking to make a hefty profit. According to TMZ, for a selling price of $50 million the lucky buyer will enjoy a six-bedroom main house with infinity pool, waterfall and pond on four acres in the Brentwood area of LA.
The tastefully decorated home, featured in the October 2013 issue of Architectural Digest, was designed in the style of a European country estate.
"I like simplicity and coziness," the supermodel told the mag. "I want to live in a place that feels like a real home, where you can put your feet up on the couch and just relax."
Brady added, "Gisele and I have eight sisters between us, and there are lots of kids. We built this house as a sanctuary for our family — a place where we can enjoy being together.
"It was important for us to plant roots for our family, and since we both enjoy the creative process, we decided to start from scratch."
No word on what may have changed their minds about the not-so-humble abode in the last several months.
The couple and their children will reportedly move to a new, equally mammoth mansion currently under construction in the Brookline suburb of Boston. The family also recently purchased pricey digs in New York City.
