She's Not Really A Fan
Chelsea Handler can always be counted on to offer her unbridled opinion, and she certainly wasn't holding back when we brought up Kanye West. Read on to find out what the queen of late night really thinks of Yeezus.
As the first lady of late night, Chelsea Handler has her finger on the pulse of all things pop culture. As such, we couldn't wait to pick our February Girl Crush's brain about a little rumor that has been making the rounds on the internet regarding a big star: Kanye West.
Apparently, a religion has been founded in honor of the rapper. It's been dubbed Yeezianity, after West's latest album and subsequently-spawned alter ego, Yeezus. (Check back on Feb. 11 for more of Handler's thoughts on Yeezianity!)
But don't expect Handler to fall prey to West's hype anytime soon. When we bring up the newly-minted religion, she emphatically states, "Uh, I don't worship Kanye."
In general, Handler has a distinct distaste for West, who has been busy lately playing house with Kim Kardashian and the couple's baby, North West.
"I can respect the fact that he's creative and everything, but he's just so arrogant," the comedienne laments. "It's like, 'Oh God, shut up.'"
Hmm, something tells us our favorite funny lady won't be asking West to guest on Chelsea Lately anytime soon. We can't help but wonder, though, if it might make things awkward the next time Handler has one of the Kardashian clan on her show — they've guested several times in recent years.
