Glee star: "It's time to put my feet up"

Christmas is a time that is filled with love and joy, but it has not been an easy year for Lea Michele, who was faced with the tragic death of her boyfriend and co-star Cory Monteith earlier this year.

However, the Glee actress has surprised fans with her sheer strength and will to continue and she has been hard at work these past few months. And so, Michele is going to take some time off and enjoy a relaxing Christmas this year.

The star shared her holiday plans on Twitter yesterday when she tweeted, "After an amazing past few weeks it's time to put my feet up recharge, relax and breath (sic) in some fresh air."

Michele has been busy with promoting her debut single "Cannonball" as well as appearing in a much anticipated performance on the finale of The X Factor on Thursday.

All of the work has helped the New Year's Eve actress to slowly come to terms with the loss of her beau.

During an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that aired earlier this month, Michele said, "I really feel like I'm still trying to figure out all of this. It's been only a few months, but my mum has experienced a lot of loss in her life and she told me at one point, there is an empowerment that comes with grief — at some point you find it."
