While some celebrities are running around Hollywood doing their last-minute holiday shopping, one star had something else in mind. Glee star Dot-Marie Jones married her longtime girlfriend, Bridgett Casteen, in a surprise wedding on Saturday night.
The couple were pretty sneaky about their nuptials. They invited close friends over for a holiday party at their home. Once everyone arrived, the duo let them in on the surprise.
The 49-year-old actress got engaged to Casteen at the "Happiest Place on Earth" during Disneyland's Gay Days Anaheim weekend in October. The annual LGBT weekend at the resort was the perfect place for the proposal, which occurred near Sleeping Beauty Castle.
Jones told The Advocate in October, "It's the happiest day of my life. I never thought I'd find somebody that is so loving and kind."
It seems that Casteen alluded to a possible wedding yesterday when she tweeted out a joyful message to her followers.
Oh happy day!— Bridgett Jones (@bridgettamanda) December 21, 2013
This will be Jones' first marriage and Casteen's second marriage. Casteen has two daughters from her previous marriage to Jack Parham.
It was a year of big life moments for the Glee cast. Besides Jones' wedding, co-star Naya Rivera got engaged, Heather Morris gave birth to her first child and the cast lost Cory Monteith to a drug overdose.
Congratulations, Dot-Marie and Bridgett!
