Have you ever wondered how Joe Manganiello got his rock hard abs? The True Blood star reveals some of his workout secrets in the latest issue of Muscle & Fitness. And of course, as the magazine's cover boy, he's conveniently missing his shirt.
Recently, the official Muscle & Fitness Twitter profile posted a photo of Manganiello at the magazine's launch party. The actor proudly showcased his body of work (pun intended) for the crowd. This month's issue features a step-by-step guide for jump-starting your fitness routine for the new year.
Manganiello is using the exposure to promote his new book, Evolution: The Cutting Edge Guide to Breaking Down Mental Walls and Building the Body You've Always Wanted. The title's a bit of a mouthful, isn't it? Surprisingly, Manganiello wasn't always in tip-top shape. He's naturally on the tall and lanky side.
He reveals, "Anybody can pick up a weight and do a weight-lifting movement. It's easy. The physical isn't really what it's about — it's the mental side that holds people back from achieving their goals."
That's a mantra he's lived by and it's gotten him the body he's always wanted.
It looks like Manganiello's more than just a pretty face and a hard body. He didn't gain his success overnight. There's a method behind his muscle. If you want to learn more, go pick up a copy of Muscle & Fitness today.
