The actor went to the rapper's Yeezus tour at the Los Angeles Staples Center and said he had so much fun that it made him feel like he was a teenager again. The show also left him full of admiration for the notorious rapper.
The Walk the Line actor revealed, "I went and I saw his tour recently, I saw Yeezus at Staples Center, and it was the most fun I've had since I was like 14."
"It was such an amazing show. That's really the only thing I can say about Kanye, is that I saw his show and I thought it was f***ing brilliant."
That high praise for the "Bound 2" rapper will certainly re-inflate his ego, although the world does already know he is a great performer.
As for Phoenix, his life is not all about attending concerts — has been a busy man working on his new film titled Her, which explores how humans relationships have changed because of the advance of technology.
The Oscar nominee said of the film, "We've seen some amazing things that have come out of it and some terrible things. I think it's kind of up to us and what we do with the technology."
The much anticipated movie also co-stars the beautiful Amy Adams, who admitted she even trying to get Phoenix to sing a duet with her while filming.
"We did Rocky Horror Picture Show," Phoenix joked.
The Man of Steel star clarified and revealed just how much he loves to sing, saying, "I mean, there wasn't a whole production number, I mean, I sing a lot, I just do. I try not to."
Her premiered in theaters on Wednesday, Dec. 18, and will have wide release on Jan. 10, 2014.
