Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez, although young, seemed to be a couple that would last forever. But it ended suddenly, and Gomez seems to have moved on. But it looks like more than a year later, Bieber is still very much in love with her.
The Biebs opened up on the radio show Big Boy's Neighborhood on Power 106 about how Gomez inspired some of his new music.
"I wrote the best music once my heart was broken," he told Big Boy in the interview. "'All That Matters' was written when I was in a great place in my relationship, and at that time, she was all that mattered in my life."
Bieber's song includes the line "You make me complete," and it looks like he really meant it. Since the breakup, he has had quite a few problems, and he is still obviously grieving over the loss of his first love.
"[The break up] affected us, especially when we are in front of so many people," he said via E! News. "It's such a public thing. It's just hard for the both of us. But you know, she's a great woman. I love her till this day."
Bieber has talked before about how hard it is to live his life in front of the media. As the interview continued, his age became apparent as he talked about how he hopes his relationship with Gomez will end up. But it's not clear if she feels the same.
"I think we're going to be the greatest of friends," he said. "Right now we're taking a little time and not talking."
Bieber also joked that he might be retiring in the interview, but his rep later said it absolutely isn't true.
