Snubs and non-surprises

It's a happy morning for the casts and crews of 12 Years a Slave and American Hustle after wrangling up seven nominations each for the Golden Globe Awards.

Amy AdamsThe Hollywood Foreign Press Association — with a little help from Olivia Wilde, Zoe Saldana and Aziz Ansari — announced the nominees for the 2014 Golden Globe Awards this morning, but who was left off was a much bigger shock than who was included.

The films 12 Years a Slave and American Hustle had the best morning ever, with seven nominations each including nods to Michael Fassbender, Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper, Amy Adams, Jennifer Lawrence, Lupita Nyong'o, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and directors Steve McQueen and David O'Russell.

Shockingly snubbed were pretty much everyone having anything to do with Lee Daniels' The Butler, including SAG nominees Oprah Winfrey and Forest Whitaker.
