She announced the news of her pregnancy on the summer daytime talk show The Real. Now, that baby is officially here! Former Facts of Life star Kim Fields and husband Christopher Morgan welcomed baby No. 2 to their household on Tuesday.
The family announced the news exclusively to People, "We are so blessed and grateful to God for this newest gift to our family."
Their new baby boy, Quincy Xavier Morgan, came into the world at 10:30 a.m. in Atlanta, Georgia. He weighed in at 8 pounds, 8 ounces and measured 20-inches long. The couple are already parents to big brother Sebastian Alexander, 6 1/2.
The former Living Single star also tweeted the news to her fans.
Praise the Lord Quincy is here! 8 lbs. 8 oz. 20 inches long we are all doing great thank you for your love prayers and support!— Kim Fields (@KimVFields) December 3, 2013
The 44-year-old actress shared her thoughts on being pregnant as a woman over 40 to the ladies on The Real in July.
She said at the time, "It was planned. We've actually been trying for a couple years. We had gotten pregnant twice and [miscarried]. If I'm encouraging to anybody… it's not like I'm the poster child for over 40 and pregnant."
The parents' next big project is a Christmas show called Holiday Love: The Rebirth which features original songs and an all-star cast in a variety special. This is the fourth year that they are producing the show and it will air on TV One on Christmas Day.
Welcome to the world, baby Quincy!
