Grimm has decided to pull out all the stops this holiday season and will be airing a two-hour special on Friday, Dec. 13 starting at 9:00 p.m., featuring two brand new episodes.
In the first hour comes an episode called "Cold Blooded" which guest stars Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel alum Alexis Denisof. According to the official episode description on NBC, a deadly crime spree begins to surface in Portland and, as it does, a century-old urban legend also starts to take shape in the city's sewers and becomes Nick's (David Giuntoli) latest case. Meanwhile in Europe, Adalind (Claire Coffee) will meet Prince Viktor (played by Denisof), who is looking for revenge for his cousin Eric's demise. Captain Renard (Sasha Roiz) will have issues of his own to deal with when he responds to the recent attempt on his life.
If that were the only episode, it would already be a pretty full night, but NBC is following up "Cold Blooded" with its first-ever foray into a holiday-themed episode. The second hour culminates with an episode called "Twelve Days of Krampus."
Combining Wesen tales with urban legends is what Grimm does best and when a string of delinquent teens go missing, an old Wesen tale of an evil Santa who brings more than just a lump of coal might bring some answers. With scary St. Nick as their prime suspect, the investigation intensifies to the point where Nick and Hank take things a little too far. Meanwhile, everybody's favorite Wesen couple has troubles of their own when Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) enlists Juliet (Bitsie Tulloch) to surprise Rosalee (Bree Turner) for their first Christmas together with unintended results. Finally, Captain Renard's tour of Europe brings him closer to tracking down Adalind.
Between the guest appearance of fan-favorite Denisof, plus a visit from evil Santa, it looks like Grimm is bringing fans quite the holiday present. Which episode are you most excited to unwrap?
