Daryl Heads To The Dark Side
The cast of The Crow reboot is growing. Sources claim one of The Walking Dead's biggest stars may be joining the cast.
Another day, another casting rumor about The Crow. A while ago, British actor Luke Evans was officially cast as the title character after Bradley Cooper and Tom Hiddleston bowed out. So now the powers that be are on the hunt for the second lead.
According to Schmoesknow, they were told The Walking Dead's Norman Reedus is in talks to join the film. Their source claims that Reedus is the frontrunner for the role of James. There's no word on if he'll be another hero or the main villain, but our vote is for the latter.
Reedus is a great actor who can play noble but also sleazy. If he does join The Crow it will be a solid get for the film. He's easily the most popular actor on The Walking Dead thanks to his performance as Daryl Dixon. The series is currently in its fourth season and is the AMC Network's highest-rated program. He could definitely bring his fanbase with him.
The Crow is based on the comic of the same name, which centered on a dead musician named Eric. On the anniversary of the murders of Eric and his fiancée, a crow brings him back to life so he can avenge their deaths. The story was previously adapted in 1994 with the late Brandon Lee in the role of Eric Draven.
The original film spawned several sequels, with most heading straight to DVD.
