"This Moment, It's So Special, So Tender"
Fergie is thrilled to be a mom and was happy to gush about her son's birth and reveal just how she came up with his name during a recent interview with Ellen DeGeneres.
The "Fergalicious" singer has recently welcomed her first child Axl into the world with her gorgeous husband Josh Duhamel and the pop star has revealed that the name for her tiny tot appeared to her in a dream.
Stacy Ferguson, better known as Fergie, revealed to talk show host Ellen DeGeneres on Wednesday exactly how she came up with her baby's name.
Fergie said, "I had this dream and I was in the audience at this festival. It was outdoors and it was all grimy and nobody knew who I was."
"On stage singing was Jim Morrison and then came Bob Marley and then Axl Rose. I was in heaven in this dream and I'm dancing and just getting into the music."
It was at that moment that her now 3-month-old son decided to partake in his mother's dream and kicked her for the very first time.
The 38-year-old star revealed, "It was the first time my son kicked me in the stomach and it was like he was feeling the music with me. It was really beautiful and I woke Josh [Duhamel] up and I said, 'Honey, honey, honey, he kicked me. He finally kicked me.'"
Parents will know that is a beautiful moment during their pregnancy and The Black Eyed Peas star's joy was no exception. The couple took the moment and the dream as a sign and begun to think of which name would be best suited for their little tot.
Fergie revealed, "I told the story and he was like, 'Morrison? Marley? No. Axl Jack. That's it!' It just had this ring to it. It was very strong."
Her beautiful baby boy's full name is Axl Jack and his second name was already decided before his first, as it is in honor of Fergie's late uncle Jack.
The happy mother of one was only to thrilled to share the moment of her son's birth on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and happily recalled, "I see Josh and he's going 'Aww,' and he's giving the faces and I'm going, 'Wow, I'm so happy. This moment, it's so special, so tender."
"I hear screaming… and over the side comes Axl and he's screaming at me, crying and I went, 'OK, the name works!'"
