"I Don't Know Why 'happy' Can't Be A Story"
Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have been married for 17 years, have three children and are as happy as ever. So why are the tabloids saying they're headed for divorce?
The musicians are in the middle of a Las Vegas residency and are now more concerned with their teenagers' lives than the industry. But there is one thing they don't seem concerned about: the state of their marriage. Recent tabloid rumors have the couple on the verge of divorce, but Hill and McGraw say that couldn't be further from the truth.
"[Rumors] seem to be running like crazy right now for some reason. It's perplexing," Hill told People magazine. "I don't know why 'happy' can't be a story."
The singer added that they are "absolutely not" breaking up. Hill and McGraw seem comfortable enough about their relationship that they've taken to joking about the rumors of "impending doom."
"We've been married 17 years, and since the first week we were married those things were out," McGraw said, according to People. "We don't even think about it. The only time we ever think about it is [when we] worry about the kids. But they've been around it, too, so they laugh it off."
Hill and McGraw have three daughters, the oldest being 16-year-old Gracie, and they said the biggest concern in their lives is accommodating the social lives of three students.
"I don't recall in high school ever being so busy," Hill said.
Besides managing their three children, the stars have been as busy as ever. Tim McGraw recently collaborated with Taylor Swift and Keith Urban on "Highway Don't Care" and the couple is now in the middle of their 10-week Las Vegas residency. McGraw and Hill's stint in Sin City began back in October, and will wrap up in April.
