Taylor Swift has countless fans and whatever she touches usually turns to gold, so it seemed appropriate that she would be a part of the annual Victoria's Secret catwalk in New York last week.
The "Love Story" singer was asked to be a part of the fashion show and performed on the runway while the beautiful models strutted their gorgeous lingerie collection.
Many believe Swifty's performance added a little lighthearted fun to the show, but one model disagreed.
Australian model Jessica Hart was not impressed that she had to share her catwalk with the 23-year-old singer in New York last Wednesday and when asked if she thought Swift could make it as a Victoria's Secret model, Hart was quick to reply, "No." Ouch!
Hart was enjoying the after party at the swanky New York hot spot Tao — the same place that Kim Kardashian had her 33rd birthday/engagement party — and revealed to Women's Wear Daily, "I think, you know what, God bless her heart. I think she's great. But I don't know, to me, she didn't fit. I don't know if I should say that."
"I think what you find is that for a lot of us, we've been working for 14, 15 years, what it takes to make it here comes from experience and confidence and knowing how to be confident with yourself.
The gap-toothed beauty finally added, "I think it comes with age. It's definitely the benchmark of all jobs."
That may be Hart's honest opinion and perhaps it was not so much an attack on Swift as it was the fact that she didn't feel after all her hard work the show needed the addition of a world-class performer. However, other supermodels disagreed with Hart and thought the "I Knew You Were Trouble" hitmaker was a very welcome addition to their show.
Karlie Kloss, 21, was thrilled that her idol was singing on stage and happily told Us Weekly, "She and I need to be best friends!"
"I think she's the coolest young girl. She's a great role model, and I love her music. It's happening. I mean, girl power."
Lily Aldridge was also thrilled and proudly said, "[Taylor] is one of my best friends, so we had so much fun."
Swift never bothered to respond to Hart's comments, but all the love and praise from the other models, obviously made Hart decide to backtrack and insist her comments had been misinterpreted.
She told Us Weekly, "I adore Taylor Swift, and I was so excited to be with her at the Victoria Secret Fashion Show. What Taylor does on stage is nothing compared to what we do."
"I could never get up there and do what she does! She is a true rock star and she absolutely killed it the other night."
"Her song 'Pieces ' was one of my favorite songs, and I own her first ever CD. I can't imagine why I would have said anything bad about her."
What do you think, was this all just a misunderstanding?
