Are The The Vampire Diaries Co-Stars Back On?
New reports are making fans of The Vampire Diaries very happy by claiming the show's stars Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev may be a real-life item again.
Insiders say the former couple and The Vampire Diaries co-stars may be on again, reported E! News. "It's still too soon to tell if they'll make a full reconciliation, but the two are definitely getting hot and heavy once again," the site claimed.
The reports come precisely at the right time, too, because Somerhalder and Dobrev have just won E! Online's Best TV Couple of All Time for their portrayal of Damon and Elena on the hit show on The CW. Both actors were ecstatic upon hearing of their honorable win and had nothing but good things to say about it.
"I mean it's crazy!" Dobrev told E! News from the set of The Vampire Diaries in Atlanta. "The Delena fans are so passionate and so enthusiastic and such rabid lovers of Damon and Elena's chemistry and their relationship that obviously we're incredibly flattered and excited about it. It is really awesome!"
Apparently, that hot chemistry once created some giant sparks between the pair, so if they are back on again, it wouldn't be too much of a shocking surprise.
Meanwhile, Somerhalder was a bit more philosophical about the couple situation between his character Damon and Dobrev's Elena.
"Relationships are hard in real life, and they are exceptionally hard in Mystic Falls because when you have happiness in Mystic Falls, you have no drama," Somerhalder explained. "And if you have more drama, you have no TV show."
The former model, 34, and the Bulgarian-born beauty, 24, broke up in May, although they have remained good friends and have no hard feelings while filming the show together. The reason they split up was because of Somerhalder's desire to settle down, and Dobrev's reluctance to do so, sources say.
But if the rumors are true and the fan favorite couple are indeed back together, things may certainly change between the two!
