A Little Southern-Style Somethin' Somethin'

It's no secret country music has amped up the sex appeal in the past few years thanks to smokin' hot stars like Luke Bryan and Taylor Swift. With the CMAs approaching, we decided to celebrate this year's sexy highlights.

Kellie Pickler

Nobody really knew Kellie Pickler could dance until she crushed the competition on Season 16 of Dancing with the Stars, walking away with the mirror-ball trophy thanks to her sexy moves alongside pro partner Derek Hough. So, despite her oft-times ditzy persona, Pickler showed off her smarts when she recruited Hough to steam up the screen with her for the singer's "Someone Somewhere Tonight" music video. Even though the pair's sultry dancing throughout leaves everything to the imagination, their chemistry is so palpable that it makes the imagination run wild.

What do the 2013 CMA song of the year nominees have in common? >>

Florida Georgia Line with Nelly

Pretty much every video or performance involving Florida Georgia Line is a shoo-in for any "sexiest" list. These fellas are double the fun, y'all. When they hit The Voice stage earlier this year to perform their hit single "Cruise," we were more than psyched to see hip-hop star Nelly join them to perform their chart-topping remix. Is it really any wonder this song is up for Musical Event of the Year? These three rocked The Voice stage and continue to prove that country plus hip-hop equals super-sexy.

Luke Bryan

We're not gonna lie — we could very well have created this entire list out of moments from Luke Bryan's "That's My Kind of Night" video. I mean, first of all, it's Luke Bryan. Enough said, right? And when the lyrics include lines like "gonna lay you down and love you right," well, you can bet it's going to be one of those I-need-a-cold-shower-or-a-cigarette-afterwards kind of songs. This is one of the first scenes in which a half-naked, extremely attractive person pops up in a cornfield... but certainly not the last. Half-naked people also make cameos making out in the water, naturally.

Taylor Swift

Long gone are the days when a doe-eyed, virginal Taylor Swift sang about pining over her first crush. The Taylor Swift of today is a woman. A woman who, as seen in this GIF, loses all inhibition when she hops the pond to perform. When she hit the stage at the 2013 Brit Awards in February, the audience got a lot more Swift than they likely expected — although I'm sure no one was complaining!

Luke Bryan concert wiggle GIF

What can we say? We simply couldn't have a sexiest country music moments gallery without including Luke Bryan's signature shimmy. Performing live earlier this year, Bryan worked his little sugar-shaker like he was making a totally different kind of video, if you catch our drift. But hey, we're totally okay with this highly suggestive hip rolling action — and we're pretty sure the throngs of screaming female fans in attendance were okay with it too.

Katie Armiger

Katie Armiger may be a relative newcomer on the country scene, but this cowgirl knows how to put out one hot video. Uh, literally. Sista is on fire in a skintight black ensemble as she scorches the set. The video perfectly complements the song Armiger is singing, though — her debut single, "Playin' with Fire." She clearly knows her way around combustibles... and, it would appear, oversized blowtorches.

Tim McGraw concert wiggle GIF

In March, Tim McGraw performed his hit song "Southern Girl" to a sold-out crowd in Birmingham, Alabama. And, from the looks of these moves he busted out mid-song, we totally should have been there. McGraw has always been a handsome man, but these days this country hunk looks better than ever. He credits yoga but — if you're reading, Tim — these pelvis thrusts surely help keep you in shape. You should definitely keep doing them.
