Lisa Kudrow is keeping it real. The actress recently talked to The Saturday Evening Post about one of the biggest changes in her life. She spoke about having plastic surgery at the young age of 16. Kudrow reveals that's when she got her nose done and she has no regrets.
"That was life altering," Kudrow said about her rhinoplasty. "I went from, in my mind, hideous, to not hideous. I did it the summer before going to a new high school. So there were plenty of people who wouldn't know how hideous I looked before. That was a good, good, good change."
It all started with her tumultuous teen years, which kicked off in junior high. As she began seventh grade, two of her best friends decided to cut ties with her. The actress was at a new school and found it hard to make friends.
"It was just mean," she remembered. "And all of junior high felt upside down to me. It was not, like, the nice people who were popular; it wasn't the most entertaining people — it was the meanest people who were popular."
We praise Kudrow's brutal honesty. Hollywood is filled with celebrities hell-bent on hiding the smallest nip or tuck. She got work done, it made her happy and she's moved on. Bigger and better things were on the horizon, namely a little sitcom called Friends. The rest is television history.
Kudrow can currently be seen on ABC's Scandal, which airs Thursdays at 10/9c.
