Kim Kardashian is back in the spotlight. In fact, she recently got engaged and is the happiest she's ever been. Last June, she and then-boyfriend Kanye West welcomed a daughter, North. Like most women in entertainment, Kardashian felt pressure to get back to her pre-baby shape.
Kardashian turned to the Atkins diet to shed the excess weight. The plan has delivered amazing results, as detailed in People. Kardashian revealed that she's lost 43 of the 50 pounds she gained while pregnant. That's a lot of weight to drop in a short period of time (a mere four months).
Kardashian had a tough pregnancy both mentally and physically. The paparazzi were relentless when it came to her growing belly. It got to the point where she had to just "tune out the media." On the Oct. 13 episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians she explained, "I always envisioned that I would have this easy time just being pregnant, only my belly would get big. And it has just been so not that way for me. But sometimes, you just have to take life for what it is and enjoy the ride."
The whole process was difficult. Even though she's the star of a reality show we didn't see everything. "Pregnancy for me was a lot tougher than people saw on my show or from magazines. So to get back to feeling like myself just makes me feel good again."
