Some hot young stars are rumored to join the Fantastic Four reboot. Twentieth Century Fox is courting six up and comers to headline the new comic book movie.

Kit Harington

We've got some casting news regarding Fox's Fantastic Four. The studio is eyeing a shortlist of actors to revive the action franchise. It was previously announced that Miles Teller (The Spectacular Now) was one of the candidates to play team leader Reed Richards aka Mr. Fantastic. But he's not the only one gunning for that role.

According to Variety, Kit Harington from HBO's Game of Thrones and Jack O'Connell (300: Rise of an Empire) are also testing for Richards. The last actor to fill his shoes was Ioan Gruffudd in Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.

Meanwhile, a couple actresses are up for Susan Storm also known as The Invisible Woman. She's the first lady of the Fantastic Four, the wife of Reed and older sister to Johnny. Saoirse Ronan (Hanna) and Kate Mara (House of Cards) may read for the part. One of them could be taking over for Jessica Alba, who played the character previously.

Potentials for Johnny Storm aka The Human Torch, are few and far between. Michael B. Jordan may be the sole heir to Chris Evans' old role. No one else has been mentioned as a contender. The Fantastic Four reboot will be directed by Josh Trank, who worked with Jordan on the film Chronicle.

Casting for the last member of the team, Ben Grimm/The Thing hasn't been mentioned. Perhaps they'll opt for a CGI creation? In the earlier Fantastic Four films, Michael Chiklis played the part using a prosthetic suit.

Fantastic Four opens in theaters in 2015.
