The rift between estranged spouses Clint Eastwood and Dina Eastwood just got a little bigger. According to the Monterey Herald, Mrs. Eastwood filed for legal separation on Monday.

The court papers reveal that the 48-year-old is seeking spousal support as well as physical custody of their 16-year-old daughter Morgan. Legal custody would be shared between Dina Eastwood and the 83-year-old director.

The petition filed in Monterey County Superior Court also makes note of an existing premarital agreement that the couple signed before their wedding in 1996. The couple confirmed their separation in August and the parties involved seemed friendly about the split.

However, recent news has come to light that there has been some spouse swapping with another couple. After Dina Eastwood's friend Erica Tomlinson-Fisher aired her suspicions about an alleged affair between her husband Scott and Dina to Clint, they began their own affair.

Oddly enough, Dina Eastwood wasn't having an affair with Tomlinson-Fishers' husband at the time, but the damage was already done.

Dina Eastwood told Us Weekly in a statement, "I am saddened to see photos of Clint with Ms. Tomlinson-Fisher. I look forward to new beginnings."

Reports are now coming in that Dina Eastwood is involved with Scott, but their romance began after Clint Eastwood started his fling with Erica Tomlinson-Fisher. What a tangled web!

In the past few weeks, the former band manager has been quoting inspirational thoughts to her followers on Twitter.

Perhaps the legal filing is a fresh start after such a messy affair.
